With the instructions from Obama that NASA’s tasking changes from space to making muslims, who have been stagnant for a millenia, feel good about their contribution to science NASA’s death knell has sounded. So NASA with all its expertese in science, space and rocketry is going to be arranging a party, or something, for muslims to celebrate a contribution that took place a thousand years ago and hasn’t been exceeded since by the muslim world while the rest of the planet moved on.
If ever proof was needed that Obama was a muslim and has no interest in progress of our species then this must be it. To impose a muslim embargo on science must be the ultimate proof, if any was needed, that a useless short sighted fuckwit has taken over.
As NASA dies, Bill Whittle says that the private sector has already taken over, watch here, and will make a better job of it than any government agency. As the public sector does with everything.
Spaceship One, just one of many space research projects funded by the private secor. Our spirit still lives on although I notice that they all appear to be Americans. They show that there is still hope for us as a species.
Sorry to disagree, yet again. The private sector stopped most long-term research in the 1970′s and 1980′s. The only such is being done at universities, mostly supported by government agencies. Then, private industry is moving in, and gaining the benefits without the cost.
Look at pharmaceuticals. Most of the big companies haven’t released a really new drug in over 20 years.
Isn’t that how it works in the private sector? Someone comes up with an idea and it fails to take off. Someone buys the company and gains everything for a fraction of the original investment. Or someone builds a new idea on someone elses innovation and they make a killing.
You just have to look at anything, cameras, music players, TVs. All standard based on old innovations.
Its the corporates way of squeezing as much as possible from everyone with minimum investment. Thats why patents should last less than they do. Make them keep innovating if the want the money.
NASA? Muslims? Way over my head, that one.
