ID cards are still slowly being rolled out by the Stasi. The level is so low that everyone thinks they have been stopped but that is not so.
So knowing that there are some out there, the fact it is government run, and that everything the government does falls apart and fails, I’m sure it doesn’t surprise you to find out that the government has no idea how many have been obtained fraudulently. Read here.
Of course they will find out slowly when people such as yourself who don’t have one, want one or will get one unless it is forced upon us, apply and find someone already used your name, ran up a £1M bill and several criminal records and left you with the bill. All made possible by the state.
I’m assuming that in the first group of people to get cards were the people that make the fake ones – using someone else identity of course.
The whole thing is an exercise in futility on the part of a controlling government and like all gov IT projects will have either a laptop or a USB memory stick left on a train with all the data unencrypted on it.
The most noticeable thing about this and the one for children is that the politicians have exempted themselves from it. I wonder why?

If we are all issued with ID cards we should put them near some very large magnets overnight 7 seconds in the microwave then taser it or attach wires from your lamp to send loads of electricity through it to break it so no one will be able to get your personal details and you can say “Well it was working this morning” if stopped by the police.
Does that get me the Nobel Prize?

I don’t yet have a KGB style passport or card put as we move towards a Soviet utopia we will all end up with one because we will need it to get our petrol ration.
The MPs etc. don’t need one because their Zils will give them lifts directly to and from work.

Not exactly. They won’t care for the excuse as they taser you and throw you in the slammer then fine you and then bill you for a new one.

That may be try but the side effects are tremendous. Lack of time to do anything you want. Your pals can’t get through to take you the pub. Any bank balances without cards are also subject to the steady drain of funds and your life is no longer your own.
Then when you try and disengage your funds are reduced to zero. You are kicked out of your home and you discover your skills in picking up women has atropied.
A very slippery slope to go on.
