Biodegradable mediums

When you look for a product you really want one that is popular and has repeat customers. There are the usual advantages about price vs quantity but one that seems to have taking off is biodegradable packaging and disposables where the end user is not the purchaser but a receiver of some medium to hold the actual product you are buying. Such as a drink cup in MCDonalds or a box that your new 92inch plasma TV came in.

In the olden day when life was good and a hot summer was something you looked forward too we wasted a lot of packaging which ended up in landfill. Despite my disbelief of the climate change scam I do actually believe we should look after the environment better.

It appears that there are tools out there we can use in our pursuit of this task. Probably have been around for a while but we never noticed. However, one thing that did surprise me was it was biodegradable in 60 days. In a few weeks it will take the Royal Mail that long to deliver some of the parcels they get given. Then when I put a parcel in the loft or in the garage I expect it to be there months later when I go back and not to find the packaging gone and my precious valuables all over the place.

So when we legislate packaging out of existence exactly what are we going to use for long term storage. Everything will actually be designed for a throwaway society and anything not biodegradable will be expensive to purchase. We should have both as each will have a niche to fill but somehowI just don’t see it.
