Could there be life in our solar system outside Earth?

Scientists think that there could be life in the frozen oceans on some of Jupiter and Saturn’s moons. This life could exist in the water which is suspected to be there below the frozen surfaces.

Two probes are currently scheduled to investigate the frozen seas of two of Jupiter’s moons, Europa and Ganymede, in about a decade followed a couple of years later to two of Saturn’s moons, Enceladus and Titan. Read the full story here.

If they find anything not only will it be the first proof that life exists on other planetary bodies but will likely be the replacement food source now that Cod has been all but wiped out due to the EU’s stupid CAP policy. As an added bonus they will come back frozen as well. Although I wonder how many carbon miles would be clocked up by a Titan prawn. Enough to give most greens a heart attack.

I’m sure the scientists will be excited about the find for other reasons. Medicines, origins of life etc.

  • “I wonder how many carbon miles would be clocked up by a Titan prawn.”……………………..ROFL…..olollolol.

I have never thought about eating alien life forms…..just never entered my head………what if I like to eat aliens and what if we start broadcasting ads for alien food and somehow those radio waves hit a galactic federation of vegans?……..vegans with guns that do horrible things to you like turn your teeth into ham or nonsuch?

    TEV,

As you can see I like thinking of things out of the ordinary.

Vegans would avoid us. What would they want to come here for? To see the wildlife?

On the other hand, a fleet of hungry aliens could be on their way here now. From what I understand the US will be first, more tubbys, or Africans, for lean meat. Gives us a better chance to escape or fight back.

  • “Gives us a better chance to escape or fight back.”………or dig…..like in Jeff Wayne’s War Of The Worlds “with a brave new world….with just a hand full of men…………………………………….we could start all over again.”

  • Mmmm – eating aliens – seems a bit rubbery for my taste.

  • good point James……..I had Calamari in Yo Sushi the other day and sorry….its not for me. Bu the rest was bloomin lovely…..very expensive though when you keep grabbin gthe food off the belt to try a new dish. Mrs and myself were 50 quid down and half a squid up lol

Well guys, It takes all sorts. I don’t like squid myself but a lot of people do and don’t forget we eat bugs and, even sprouts, so humans will eat almost anything.

As long as it doesn’t fight back we will be fine.

  • Thanks for taking the time to hash out this, I feel strongly about it and enjoy learning more on this issue. If doable, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more selective information? It is extremely helpful for me.

I write about things as I find them. So I’ll no doubt be writing more about this.
