Well it looks like we will soon have a new ending to all our Internet addresses. Scientists have extended the Internet out to artificial satellites in our solar system.
So how will we represent the Earth? Are we going to use .Earth or .ETH or something. There isn’t all that many objects in the solar solar system so shouldn’t be any confusion.
We won’t have to change anything so that’s good news at least. The bad news is that we won’t be using TCP/IP but a new protocol specially designed to cater for objects going on and off line on a regular basis. So bad news for anyone off planet browsing for porn.
I wonder if they have put in some software to handle spammers in this protocol. It would be a right pain to have downloaded a 1Mb file, have it stop near the end because the planets were out of alignment then 30 days later, when they realign, it finishes the download only find out it is an spam advert for a willie extension or Viagra.

What would Uranus’s tag be?
There has to be one.
