If the UKs GDP is roughly double that of Russia why is it that Russia is able to get involved in the space race yet we do not?
What is it that we are wasting spending out money on that a communist country is not? After all we are practically there and that difference means we should be better off. Although we can’t blame this one on Labour as none of our governments have wanted to get involved in space at all since we stopped back in the 60s. Is it a case of we have been so long we don’t have a rethink about it and decide to start like China and India or is it just we decide it is not worth it and think we will get the crumbs from the space faring nations.
When I was a kid the UK had a place in the race. We had plans for spaceships, some of them still viable, moon bases etc. What has happened to us?
