When you hear the words The Next Generation what do you think? In Star Trek terms you think more advanced, more progress and society as a whole is in a better situation. In every mention of the phrase The Next Generation we are looking forward to the future and the advances made.
Well, except in the UK, where sadly we have confirmation of what I only suspected. It seems that the IQs in our children are heading down. The British school leavers are accepting their programming by our useless public school teachers and are starting to adapt to their lives as drones.
The article, read here, says that they are unable to give a reason for this but they do give several examples, up first is the usual bogey man of computer games and computers in general but computer games were around when I was a kid and nuffink happened to me, followed by the suggestion of teachers teaching to the test to meet government targets. Mmmm. I think we are looking in the right direction here.
Sadly, these kids are where I am looking to see advances in all the objectives I have suggested. The British have always been good innovators this single action will do more to damage the long term future of the UK than anything else the government can do. To destroy our intelligence an IQ point at a time.
